Bought this Amana washer and dryer set about 2 1/2 years ago and have had nothing but problems out of both. I have replaced a drum roller, the belt, a heating element, and two thermostats in this time frame. It has never dried like it was supposed to. Usually takes several cycles to dry a load of clothes. Don't recommend these Amana products. You will be sorry.

I purchased twenty (20) of these washer/dryer combos in the fall of 2015/spring of 2016 for my apartment complex. No sooner had they fallen out of their one year warranty did they start breaking. Heating elements going out, lid sensors breaking, the male hose fillers on the washer have the strength of wet toilet paper and strip if you look at them wrong, the list of gripes with the appliances is long. I get a call from one of my tenants regarding the appliances, mostly the washers or dryers, every month. I am in the process of replacing the Washers and dryers as they break. At this rate, I bet I have them all replaced by the end of the year.

I bought the washer and dryer as a set had more problems with them then the rest of my appliances put together had to have them repaired at least ones a year. They are like only 3 or 4 years old should not have to go buy new ones already but i am tired of putting money into them to have them repaired all the time

I purchased this dryer in 2013 with warranty from the furniture place. Since I had my home remodeled, I didn't installed it until Feb 2015 due to electrical upgrade. The first issue I had with my dryer was 6 months later for the dryer not turning on. Called for service, they said it was the motor. Then 2 months later again the same issue happened, so the I called for service again. This year in Sept again for the 3rd time the same issue happened. Now they is no warranty from the furniture place and the Amana said there is no warranty, that I have to either, service call for $320 without warranty of repairs or purchase their extended warranty for $350 with 1 year warranty...OMG... The prices are basically for buying a new dryer.....THEY WILL NOT ASSUME their RESPONSIBILITY for manufacture defective!!!!

Had this dryer for 2 years. Been excellent. We dried our clothes practically at least once every day since buying. Couple things extra I'll mention: It's light. Which makes it easy to move in to a new place, especially up stairs. It's also very easy to self-repair. Just find any You Tube video and you will see. Even a single mother can do it! The only thing to really watch for on this dryer is using common sense. Make sure your dryer vent has good flow and gets cleaned once in a while. Clean your lint trap often (I clean mine every load). And check clothes for foreign objects! Leaving something like a pen in a pocket can spell disaster for the blower wheel.
