Worst dishwasher we've had!

We had such high hopes for this dishwasher as we'd had a good experience with a previous one. But it has been a disappointment from the get-go. It does not wash well. Glasses and dishes are never fully dry. Parts are made of plastic and perish after a year. We've had the baskets repaired once by Kitchenaid because plastic parts crumbled where it connects to the glide. Now it is breaking apart again. On top of that, it's now leaking terribly and will not wash food from rinsed plates/bowls. I would not recommend this product.

I have had the dishwasher for about 2 years. I bought it because I loved the finish and I was delighted with my previous kitchenaid dishwasher. This one doesn't do a particularly good job washing a load. Now, there is what I presume is mold everywhere. Dishwasher cleaner helps, but does not completely remove the mold. Crack open the door to allow for air circulation is standard advice. The inside light stays on if the door is cracked. The machine has lots of cycles. However, because of the mold, I can only use the heat cycle. As I read the manual, except for the top, the trays, do not remove. I am ready to ditch it and throw the money we spent down the drain.

So quiet haste double check to see if it was on

Lower motorized arm does not spin. I purchased all five major appliances for my kitchen from KitchenAid but the customer service is unhelpful, unfriendly, and poor. Bad experience, would not buy from KitchenAid again.

We bought this dishwasher a month and a half ago and absolutely love it. It is very quiet and has wonderful features. We especially like the top drawer and bottle washing features.
