Wonderful and great features. Replaced my old KitcenAidcooktop that was 10 years old, and only replaced due to a dropped pot that cracked the top. Very happy with the quality of KitchenAid products.

I bought this cooktop about a year and a half ago when I rehabbed my condo and still can't figure out how to use it. For example, if I bring a pot of water to a boil and then want to lower the temperature while the element is on, the burner has to complete it's cycle before it will enter the cycle for the lower temperature instead of going off right away. This makes it extremely difficult to manage temperature changes. Also, I must have a different definition of "simmer" because this function does not work at all based on what I believe is the well accepted definition of the word. Finally, if I use the burner size that fits the pan I have it takes forever for the pot to heat so I find myself using a burner size 1 size larger and have to try and manage it. I am extremely disappointed in this cooktop and wish I had kept the 15 year old Miele I had.

I have used this cooktop for 8 months. I love the look and flexibility of burner sizes. I love being able to lock the touch pad as well. It is very difficult to clean though. I have to scrub it after every use and frequently can’t get it all clean. If I had the space I would have chosen the 36” cooktop so that I could have 2 burners up front.
