We bought a new house in 2014 that came with this refrigerator. We filed a claim for poor work on the door that resulted in the door being replaced (This was covered by warrantee). After having the fridge for 14 months (right after warrantee expired the waterline cracked in 2 places. The repair cost $204. Couple days later the water filter housing area broke and it looks like another $200+. So disappointed, looks like we will not buy Whirlpool ever again after this nightmare

got a great deal, however did not know that it was discontinued!!!!!!!!!!! BUT...... I still love the item. The only thing I have found so far that is disconcerting is that there is not a "reset" button when you replace the water filter. I am having so trouble getting the red light to go out!

I bought this fridge a tear ago for atitle over $1500 and the fan just went out costing me an additional $300. In addition the ice from the icemaker frequently doesn't make it into my glass but ends up on the floor.

We have had it for nearly 2 years now. I was concerned that a side-by-side wouldn't be big enough when we have dinner parties, but it was our only option for dispensing water and ice in the door. This model has a cold storage side wide enough for a frozen pizza easily to lay flat, and the cool storage side has never disappointed me when I make dishes in advance and have to store them in the fridge before a party.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it's SLOW delivery of water and ice PLUS the fact that as soon as someone opens the fridge door, the water/ice stop dispensing. It's an annoyance for sure, but otherwise LOVE this appliance!
