Whirlpool 36" - 32 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice® and Infinity Slide Shelf

My old one was the one with the best features. Both were whirpool. Both seem to be great for keeping food fresh longer than any refrigerator I^ve had in the past.

I replaced a 20 year old GE with this beauty...OF COURSE, there is a difference, all to the better. I liked the new large GE more, but, the lighting, the reviews and my own experiences with GE repair mandated I did not repeat the original mistake that was installed in my home when I purchased it. I think it's a lovely fridge so far.

Our family decided to replace an older model Whirlpool refrigerator to update the aesthetics of our kitchen. We chose this model based on features, increased food storage area and design (french door refrigerator with the lower freezer area) as opposed to the side by side refrigerator/freezer design. The entire family likes the model and design. It works great, saves energy, and makes a bunch of minature ice cubes. As the only bottled beer drinker in the house, I am a little disappointed that it doesn't accomodate a 12-pack very well. The bottles either have to be stored in the door which isn't good because they tip over when the kids open the door or they have to be stored laying down which eats up a lot of space. The alternative is sliding back the shelf and storing them right up front. My wife doesn't like the beer there in the front because it prevents storage of taller items like a 4- quart tea picture. That's the only reason that I downgraded my rating to a 4.
