I bought this a month ago with my new house and an really liking it. It was easy to figure out which settings to use. It has done a great job with each load I've dried.

annoying and dangerous

Purchased less than a year ago. I was underwhelmed with the placement of the lint filter on top; I removed it as instructed after every load, and lint would fly everywhere!! I had to have a dust cloth handy. Then it slowly stopped collecting any lint at all and stopped drying clothes efficiently. Whirlpool was VERY difficult to get in touch with. Had to pay nearly 250 dollars to have a company dislodge all of the collected lint in our duct from this machine. Now I have to set aside an entire day for Whirlpool to send someone out to look inside the dryer. Also, the top of the dryer slants, so you can't stack folded clothes on there...they'll fall off.

We love everything about this dryer except the door!! The door latch is pretty terrible. You have to absolutely slam it to get it to shut and latch. For all the technology that goes into the electronics and sensors it’s crazy to me that the latch mechanism is the same as from probably the 1940’s. Yes it works but it’s like using an ax to prune a rose bush. Effective but brutal. Just hope you are not trying to be discreet/quiet. Because when you slam the door everyone will be awakened. Decreased Design and ease of use ratings to account for this.
