Our old double oven was 25 years old and it was time to be replaced. These ovens were the only brand that would fit in the cut out space of the old ovens. I think they are good looking, but best of all, they cook the food so good. I am still leaning how to figure out temperatures and cooking times. I’m glad I bought these,

Well made - great performance

Replaced a Jenn Air unit- this is far superios. Greater cabinet/exterior design. Internal design accomodates full size sheet pans. Controls are easy to understand. Could not be happier with this selection.

Won't work

Have this double oven yesterday did the self cleaning and after 2 hours the doors wouldn't unlock plus the main pad where the time and temperature are seemed to stop working. I am now out of an oven.

I bought this oven for a client who had a small kitchen with limited space. She hated it. So, since choices are limited for 24 inch ovens, I bought her a Whirlpool, despite the fact that it didn't have very good reviews. Build.com refused to take the KitchenAid back. So, rather than throw out $2600, I took the KitchenAid and installed it in my kitchen. The results? My client LOVES her Whirlpool. Everyone loves it. I love it. On the Whirlpool oven, you touch the controls and they respond instantly. With little musical sounds. There are also limitless programmable possibilities. You want it to turn on in 20 minutes? Sure. No problem. Tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.? Absolutely. Forgot to turn it on? Again -- no stress! Program it from you smartphone. In contrast, everyone in my household HATES the KitchenAid. You touch the control panel? No response. You press and press and press -- pressing hard -- and finally -- maybe -- if it's in the mood -- it may respond. Maybe. It always feels as if the non-existent buttons were stuck. You really have to work it for the controls to respond. Then, the controls are not intuitive. The possibilities are not innovative. You cannot program the thing, as far as I know, from your smart phone, as you can with the Whirlpool. Heating the oven seems always to be a struggle. Unlike the Whirlpool, supposedly a lesser brand, it's just not fun. I'd be happier if it had old-time buttons you could push or turn. Much more satisfying than this nonsense. Then there's the extremely irritating fact that the oven takes FOREVER to heat up. Forever. Again, the Whirlpool seemed very fast. The inside of the KitchenAid also seems smaller than the Whirlpool. Nothing fits inside. Basically it acts as a giant toaster oven -- just not as efficient or effective as my countertop Breville. Basically, this is my last KitchenAid.

perfect fit

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The Design is lovely, it was available in bright white, which I love, I will never understand the stainless crazy... Anyhow, we have a lovely MCM kitchen that had an original 24" double oven and this fabulous piece slid right in with very little retrofit. It works like a charm too! Thanks KitchenAid for having this beauty available as part of your assortment, especially in a time where it seem everyone wants BIG BIGGER BIGGEST!
