Delicious results are within reach with this 36 inch 5 burner gas cooktop from Whirlpool brand. A fifth burner lets you maximize your cooktop space by offering more flexibility, while multiple SpeedHeat burners reach up to 15,000 BTUs to generate the high heat needed for rapid boiling, searing and frying. In addition, the 5,000-BTU AccuSimmer® burner on this 5 burner gas cooktop makes it easy to simmer soups and sauces with precise control and a gentle heat. Plus, with dishwasher-safe full-width, cast-iron grates, this gas cooktop with optional non-stick griddle is a cinch to clean up.

I had my home built about five years ago and they used Whirlpool for the appliances. Immediately started to have issues with this cooktop. The burners are a bit to far away from the cooking surface/grill. It makes boiling liquids a long and aggravating process. Within 6 months the control knobs started braking at the base where they secure to the control valves. And on the center and rear right burners grill surface. The grills have actually sagged a little. So cooking on those can be a pain. Overall.. Not happy with this product. Whirlpool use to stand for quality. What happened to you Whirlpool?

The range looked nice initially. The stove has been less than a year old. It takes a while to bring water to a boil. You would have to use the middle area to heat up food faster. We are constantly cooking at home and always using the cooktop. The grill is starting to become red (because of the heat used), especially the middle part since we have to use that area often to make our food in a timely manner. I hate to spend money in buying another cooktop grill for replacement especially when guests come in.

Bought new home with the unit in it. Builders don’t spend too much on products ie..toilets,sink,dishwasher,microwave, stove etc....usually the cheaper stuff. Called builders grade. I thought that I would like it being gas, but...there are only 2 larger burners. The burner in the middle heats faster. The other would be to heat sauce, making gravy or food cooked in smaller pots. So I use the middle buner all the time and less of the others.so what’s the purpose of 5 burners if they won’t all perform at max level. The high is high and the low isn’t low enough. If your used to cooking on gas tops this may not be for you. It is just for basics. The knob has already cracked. Having to replace it unit just over 1 yr. the grates are easy to remove and clean but beware that the bumpers, sometimes won’t line up and you can easily scratch your unit, so be very careful. It’s not a wolf, it’s whirlpool so you get what you pay for.

This new unit came with the house I bought. I'm a very experienced cook. This unit is very unsatisfactory. Do any of the designers actually cook? If so, they'd know it underperforms. My previous stove was a cheap 24" apartment stove. If I could swap it out, I would. It had much more precise controls- not just medium high heat and medium low heat. The best thing about this unit is the standard size so changing it out at the earliest convenience shouldn't be a problem. Very unhappy.
