KitchenAid 30" Induction Ceramic Electric Cooktop

I love my new cooktop. Even though my old cooktop was 2 induction burners, I do enjoy using the new one with 4 induction burners. My big criticism though is at least 1 of the large burners should be in the front. I am only 5 1” and it is hard to see into the pot at the back - which is usually a large pot.

My husband bought this cooktop about two months ago, and at first we were really happy with it and loved it, until it broke on us not even a week of using it. Kitchen aid sent a tech over to fix the issue, and we made the changes necessary that the tech told us to do in order for the cooktop to work properly. About a week later the cooktop breaks again and the same tech is supposed to come over to fix the issue but instead calls us and tells us that he thinks he knows what the issue is and that we need to have a separate power line for the cook top and oven and that he will not be coming over until its done, so we hired an electrician to come and set up new wires/ power source just for the cooktop (we paid over $1000 to hire the electrician to make these changes). Fast forward two months later, we are stuck with an unreliable cooktop that breaks down every other week, kitchen aid will not give us a refund even though we have warranty and are very unhappy with the product- I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and have a toddler and teenager at home with no stove to cook with. The last tech that came over to fix the issue has ordered a replacement piece that he says “should fix the problem” but that does not sound too promising. This cooktop has been nothing but a headache ever since we got it. It should not be this complicated and this expensive to get a cooktop to work properly. I don’t think I will ever buy any Kitchen Aid product again due to the way they have handled our situation.

Once familiar with controls it’s a pleasure to cook!

I have gone through 2 of these cooktops within a 5 year span. Will not buy another as they are not reliable. Both times the motherboard and control panel have blow. The cause was not due to faulty electrical system as we have new home with a surge protecter installed on our electric panel.

Bought this along with matching kitchen appliances and love it! Evenly heats and cooks and is fast.
